those who have regard for the weak; the LORD delivers them in times of
trouble. The LORD protects and preserves them--they are counted among
the blessed in the land--he does not give them over to the desire of
their foes. The LORD sustains them on their sickbed and restores them
from their bed of illness.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.

Psalm 39:11
"When you rebuke and discipline anyone for their sin, you consume their wealth like a moth--surely everyone is but a breath."

Ezekiel 5:15 "You will be a reproach and a taunt, a warning and an object of horror to the nations around you when I inflict punishment on you in anger and in wrath and with stinging rebuke. I the LORD have spoken."

Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom

So I remained
utterly silent, not even saying anything good. But my anguish increased;
my heart grew hot within me. While I meditated, the fire burned; then I
spoke with my tongue: "Show me, LORD, my life's end and the number of
my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a
mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure."

my heart grew hot within me. While I meditated, the fire burned; then I
spoke with my tongue: "Show me, LORD, my life's end and the number of
my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a
mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you.
Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure."
While I meditated
Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.

While I meditated, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue: "Show me, LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure."

Psalm 39:9 "I was silent; I would not open my mouth, for you are the one who has done this."
Job 31:33-34 "... if I have concealed my sin as people do, by hiding my guilt in my heart because I so feared the crowd and so dreaded the contempt of the clans that I kept silent and would not go outside--..."
Psalm 77:4 You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak.
But my anguish increased
Psalm 6:3 My soul is in deep anguish. How long, LORD, how long?
Psalm 25:17 Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.
