REPENT Luke 17:3-4

"So watch yourselves. If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying 'I repent,' you must forgive them."

If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them
Matthew 18:15  "If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over."

and if they repent, forgive them
Ephesians 4:32  Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Colossians 3:13  Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

you must forgive them
Matthew 18:21-22  Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times." (or seventy times seven)

REPENT Luke 13:2-5

Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way?
John 9:2-3  His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"  "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "But this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him."

Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them
John 9:7  "Go," he told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam" (this word means "Sent"). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
John 9:11  He replied, "The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see."

do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem?
Job 4:7-8  "Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished? Where were the upright ever destroyed? As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it." [Eliphaz speaking to Job]
Job 22:5  "Is not your wickedness great? Are not your sins endless?" [again Eliphaz speaking to Job]

I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish
Matthew 3:2  ... and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."
Acts 2:38-40  Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call." With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."

Matthew 26:14-16  Then one of the twelve--the one called Judas Iscariot--went to the chief priests and asked, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?" So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

Repent
Mark 1:4  And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

for the kingdom of heaven
Matthew 3:1-2  In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."

has come near
Mark 1:14-15  After John was put into prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. "The time has come, he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!"

REPENT Jeremiah 15:19

Therefore this is what the LORD says: "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them."

If you repent
Jeremiah 3:12-14  "Go, proclaim this message toward the north: 'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the LORD, 'I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,' declares the LORD, 'I will not be angry forever. Only acknowledge your guilt--you have rebelled against the LORD your God, you have scattered your favors to foreign gods under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed me," declares the LORD. "Return, faithless people," declares the LORD, "for I am your husband. I will choose you--one from a town and two from a clan--and bring you to Zion."
Jeremiah 3:22  "Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding."  "Yes, we will come to you, for you are the LORD our God."
Jeremiah 4:1-2  "If you, Israel, will return, then return to me," declares the LORD. "If you put your detestable idols out of my sight and no longer go astray, and if in a truthful, just and righteous way you swear, 'As surely as the LORD lives,' then the nations will invoke blessings by him and in him they will boast."

I will restore you that you may serve me
Jeremiah 3:7  "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.' "
Numbers 16:8-11  Moses said to Korah, "Now listen, you Levites! Isn't it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the LORD's tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them? He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself, but now you are trying to get the priesthood too. It is against the LORD that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?"
Deuteronomy 10:8  At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister and to pronounce blessings in his name, as they still do today.

if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman
Exodus 4:16  "He (Aaron) will speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were God to him."
Jeremiah 1:9  Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "I have put my words in your mouth."

REPENT Job 42:6

"Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."

Therefore I despise myself
Job 40:4  "I am unworthy--how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth."
Ezekiel 6:9  " 'Then in the nations where they have been carried captive, those who escape will remember me--how I have been grieved by their adulterous hearts, which have turned away from me, and by their eyes, which have lusted after their idols. They will loathe themselves for the evil they have done and for all their detestable practices.' "
Romans 12:3  For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

and repent
Job 34:33  "Should God then reward you on your terms, when you refuse to repent? You must decide, not I; so tell me what you know."

in dust and ashes
Exodus 10:3  So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him, "This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me."
Ezra 9:5-6  Then, at the evening sacrifice, I rose from my self-abasement, with my tunic and cloak torn, and fell on my knees with my hands spread out to the LORD my God and prayed: "I am too ashamed and disgraced, my God, to lift up my face to you, because our sins are higher than our heads and our guilt has reached to the heavens."
Job 2:7-8  So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.
Job 6:28-30  (Job speaking to his friends) "But now be so kind as to look at me. Would I lie to your face? Relent, do not be unjust; reconsider, for my integrity is at stake. Is there any wickedness on my lips? Can my mouth not discern malice?"
Job 30:19  "He throws me into the mud, and I am reduced to dust and ashes."

REPENT Job 36:10

"He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent of their evil."

He makes them listen
Job 33:15-18  "In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword."

to correction
Job 5:17  "Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty."

and commands them to repent of their evil
Job 36:8-9  "But if people are bound in chains, held fast by cords of affliction, he tells them what they have done--that they have sinned arrogantly."

REPENT 1 Kings 8:47

"... and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captors and say, 'We have sinned, we have done wrong, we have acted wickedly'; ..."

and if they have a change of heart  in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you
1 Kings 8:30  "Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive."

TRUST Hebrews 2:11-13

Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says, "I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises." And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again he says, "Here am I, and the children God has given me."

Both the one who makes people holy
Hebrews 13:12  And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.

and those who are made holy
Ephesians 5:25-27  Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters
Matthew 28:10  Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

in the assembly I will sing your praises
Psalm 22:22  I will declare your name to my people; in the assembly I will praise you.
Psalm 68:26  Praise God in the great congregation; praise the LORD in the assembly of Israel.

I will put my trust in him
Isaiah 8:17  I will wait for the LORD, who is hiding his face from the descendants of Jacob. I will put my trust in him.

Here am I, and the children God has given me
Isaiah 8:18  Here am I, and the children the LORD has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the LORD Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion.
John 10:27-29  "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand."

TRUST 2 Corinthians 13:5-6

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.

Examine yourselves
1 Corinthians 11:28-29  Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.

test yourselves
Lamentations 3:40  Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD.
John 6:5-6  When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.
2 Peter 1:10-11  Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things (see verses 5-9), you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you?
Romans 8:9-11  You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

TRUST 1 Corinthians 9:17

If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me.

If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward
1 Corinthians 3:8  The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.
1 Corinthians 3:14  If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.

if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me
1 Corinthians 4:1  This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed.
Galatians 2:7-8  On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised. For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.
Colossians 1:25-27  I have become its (the church's) servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness--the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord's people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

TRUST 1 Corinthians 4:1-2

This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

as servants of Christ
1 Corinthians 3:5-6  What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe--as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

and as those entrusted
1 Corinthians 9:16-17  For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me.
Titus 1:7  Since an overseer manages God's household, he must be blameless--not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.

with the mysteries God has revealed
Romans 16:25-27  Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith--to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! TRUST Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him
Romans 14:16-17  Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, ...

so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit
Romans 15:17-19  Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done--by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5  My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power.
1 Corinthians 4:20  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
1 Thessalonians 1:4-5  For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.
Romans 8:22-25  We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we are saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

TRUST Acts 14:23

Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust.

Paul and Barnabas appointed elders
Acts 11:29-30  The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea. This they did, sending their gift to the elders by Barnabas and Saul.

with prayer and fasting
Acts 13:2-3  While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

committed them to the Lord
Acts 20:32  "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified."

TRUST Luke 16:10-12

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own?"

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much
Matthew 25:21 and 23  "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' "
Luke 19:17  " 'Well done, my good servant!,' his master replied. 'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.' "

So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth
Luke 16:9  "I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings."
Luke 16:13  "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

TRUST Zephaniah 3:12

But I will leave within you the meek and humble. The remnant of Israel will trust in the name of the LORD.

But I will leave within you the meek and the humble
Isaiah 14:32  What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? "The LORD has established Zion and in her his afflicted people will find refuge."
Isaiah 1:9  Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.
Zephaniah 2:7  That land will belong to the remnant of the people of Judah; there they will find pasture. In the evening they will lie down in the houses of Ashkelon. The LORD their God will care for them; he will restore their fortunes.

The remnant of Israel will trust in the name of the LORD

TRUST Zephaniah 3:1-2

Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled! She obeys no one, she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the LORD, she does not draw near to her God.

Woe to the city of oppressors
Jeremiah 6:6  This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Cut down the trees and build siege ramps against Jerusalem. This city must be punished; it is filled with oppression."

rebellious
Psalm 78:8  They would not be like their ancestors--a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him.
Jeremiah 5:23  "But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away."

and defiled
Ezekiel 23:29-30  "They will deal with you in hatred and take away everything you have worked for. They will leave you stark naked, and the shame of your prostitution will be exposed. Your lewdness and promiscuity have brought this on you, because you lusted after the nations and defiled yourself with their idols."

She obeys no one
Jeremiah 22:21  "I warned you when you felt secure, but you said, 'I will not listen!' This has been your way from your youth; you have not obeyed me."

she accepts no correction
Leviticus 26:23-24  " 'If in spite of these things you do not accept my correction but continue to be hostile toward me, I myself will be hostile toward you and will afflict you for your sins seven times over.' "
Jeremiah 7:28  "Therefore say to them, ' This is the nation that has not obeyed the LORD its God or responded to correction. Truth has perished; it has vanished from their lips.' "

She does not trust in the LORD
Deuteronomy 1:32-33  In spite of this, you did not trust in the LORD your God, who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day, to search out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go.

she does not draw near to her God
Psalm 73:28  But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.

TRUST Nahum 1:7-8

The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, but with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh; he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.

The LORD is good
Jeremiah 33:10-11  "This is what the LORD says: 'You say about this place, "It is a desolate waste, without people or animals." Yet in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted, inhabited by neither people nor animals, there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the LORD, saying, "Give thanks to the LORD Almighty, for the LORD is good; his love endures forever." For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,' says the LORD."

a refuge in times of trouble
Jeremiah 17:17  Do not be a terror to me; you are my refuge in the day of disaster.
Psalm 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Jeremiah 16:19-20  LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, "Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good. Do people make their own gods? Yes, but they are not gods!"

he cares
Psalm 1:6  For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

for those who trust in him
Psalm 22:9  Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother's breast.

but with an overwhelming flood
Isaiah 8:6-8  "Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices over Rezin and the son of Remaliah, therefore the Lord is about to bring against them the mighty floodwaters of the Euphrates--the king of Assyria with all his pomp. It will over flow all its channels, run over all its banks and sweep on into Judah, swirling over it, passing through it and reaching up to the neck. Its outspread wings will cover the breadth of your land, Immanuel!"
Daniel 9:26  "After the sixty-two 'sevens', the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed."

TRUST Ezekiel 33:13

"If I tell a righteous person that they will surely live, but then they trust in their righteousness and do evil, none of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered; they will die for the evil they have done."

Hebrews 10:36-39  You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For "In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay." (Isaiah 26:20; Habakkuk 2:3) And, "But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back." (Habakkuk 2:4) But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.
2 Peter 2:17-22  These people (false teachers) are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity--for "people are slaves to whatever has mastered them." If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud."
Habakkuk 2:4-5  "See the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright--but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness--indeed, wine betrays him; he is arrogant and never at rest. Because he is as greedy as the grave and like death is never satisfied, he gathers to himself all the nations and takes captive all the peoples.

TRUST Jeremiah 49:4-6

Why do you boast of your valleys, boast of your valleys so fruitful? Unfaithful Daughter Ammon, you trust in your riches and say, 'Who will attack me?' I will bring terror on you from all those around you," declares the LORD, the LORD Almighty. "Every one of you will be driven away, and no one will gather the fugitives. Yet afterward, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites," declares the LORD.

Unfaithful Daughter Ammon
Jeremiah 3:6  During the reign of King Josiah, the LORD said to me, "Have you seen what faithless Israel has done? She has gone up on every high hill and under every spreading tree and has committed adultery there."

you trust in your riches
Jeremiah 9:23-24  This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
1 Timothy 6:17  Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

Who will attack me?
Jeremiah 21:13  " 'I am against you, Jerusalem, you who live above this valley on the rocky plateau, declares the LORD--you who say, "Who can come against us? Who can enter our refuge?" ' "

Every one of you will be driven away, and no one will gather the fugitives
Jeremiah 44:14  "None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives."

"Yet afterward, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites," declares the LORD
Jeremiah 12:14-17  This is what the LORD says: "As for all my wicked neighbors who seize the inheritance I gave my people Israel, I will uproot them from their lands and I will uproot the people of Judah among them. But after I uproot them, I will again have compassion and will bring each of them back to their own inheritance and their own country. And if they learn well the ways of my people and swear by my name, saying, 'As surely as the LORD lives'--even as they once taught my people to swear by Baal--then they will be established among my people. But if any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it," declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 48:47  "Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in the days to come," declares the LORD. Here ends the judgment of Moab.

Since you trust in your deeds and riches

Proverbs 11:28  Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.

and Chemosh
Numbers 21:29  "Woe to you, Moab! You are destroyed, people of Chemosh! He has given up his sons as fugitives and his daughters as captives to Sihon king of the Amorites."

will go into exile
Isaiah 46:1-2  Bel (another name for Marduk chief deity of Babylon) bows down, Nebo stoops low; their idols are borne by beasts of burden. The images that are carried about are burdensome, a burden for the weary. They stoop and bow down together; unable to rescue the burden, they themselves go off into captivity.
Jeremiah 49:3  "Wail, Heshbon, for Ai is destroyed! Cry out you inhabitants of Rabbah! Put on sackcloth and mourn; rush here and there inside the walls, for Molek (chief god of the Ammonites) will go into exile, together with his priests and officials."

together with his priests and officials
Amos 2:1-3  This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not relent. Because he burned to ashes the bones of Edom's king, I will send fire on Moab that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth. Moab will go down in great tumult amid war cries and the blast of the trumpet. I will destroy her ruler and kill all her officials with him," says the LORD.

TRUST Jeremiah 28:15-16

Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, "Listen, Hananiah! The LORD has not sent you, yet you have persuaded this nation to trust in lies. Therefore this is what the LORD says: 'I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you are going to die, because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.' "

The LORD has not sent you
Jeremiah 29:31-32  "Send this message to all the exiles: 'This is what the LORD says about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has persuaded you to trust in lies, this is what the LORD says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the LORD, because he has preached rebellion against me.' "

Jeremiah 29:21  This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying lies to you in my name: "I will deliver them into the hands Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will put them to death before your very eyes."
Lamentations 2:14  The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The prophesies they gave you were false and misleading.
Ezekiel 13:6  " 'Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the LORD has not sent them, they say, "The LORD declares," and expect him to fulfill their words.' "

I am about to remove you from the face of the earth

because you have preached rebellion against the LORD
Deuteronomy 13:5  That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. 1 Samuel 2:31-32  " 'The time is coming when I will cut short your strength and the strength of your priestly house, so that no one in it will reach old age, and you will see distress in my dwelling. Although good will be done to Israel, no one in your family line will ever reach old age.' "

I will now do to the house that bears my Name
1 Kings 9:6-9  "But if you or your descendants turn away from me and do not observe the commands and decrees I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. Israel will then become a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. This temple will be come a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and will scoff and say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?'
