Psalm 36:1-2
I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.

There is no fear of God before their eyes
Jeremiah 2:19 "Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the LORD your God and have no awe of me," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.

Psalm 35:11-12
Ruthless witnesses come forward; they question me on things I know nothing about. They repay me evil for good and leave me like one bereaved.
Ruthless witnesses come forward
Exodus 23:1 "Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness."
Matthew 26:59-61 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death. But they could not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward and declared, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.' "
They repay me evil for good

He drove the spear into both of them, right through the Israelite man and into the woman's stomach. Then the plague against the Israelites stopped; but those who died in the plague numbered 24,000.

Joshua 8:18 Then the LORD said to Joshua, "Hold out toward Ai the javelin that is in your hand, for into your hand I will deliver the city." So Joshua held out toward the city the javelin that was in his hand.

Psalm 34:21-22 Part 2 of 2
Evil will slay
the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The LORD will
rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.

Psalm 34:21-22 Part 1 of 2

Psalm 7:9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure--you, the righteous God who probes minds and hearts.
Psalm 9:16 The LORD is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.
Psalm 11:5 The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion.
Psalm 37:20 But the wicked will perish: Though the LORD's enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke.
Psalm 73:27 Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
Psalm 94:23 He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the LORD our God will destroy them.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Psalm 34:15-16
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.

Yes," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, 'The LORD declares.' Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," declares the LORD. "They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least," declares the LORD.
to blot out their name from the earth
Exodus 17:14 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amelek from under heaven."

tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do
good; seek peace and pursue it.

Psalm 12:2 Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts.
1 Peter 2:21-23 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. "He committed no sin and no deceit was found in his mouth." (Isaiah 53:9) When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered he made no threats. Instead he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
Turn from evil and do good
Psalm 37:27 Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever.
Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
