Psalm 35:22-25

LORD, you have seen this; do not be silent. Do not be far from me, Lord. Awake and rise to my defense; contend for me, my God and Lord. Vindicate me in your righteousness, LORD my God; do not let them gloat over me. Do not let them think, "Aha! Just what we wanted!" or say, "We have swallowed him up."

LORD, you have seen this; do not be silent 
Exodus 3:7  The LORD said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering."
Psalm 10:14  But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.

Do not be far from me, Lord 
Psalm 10:1  Why, LORD, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

Awake 
Psalm 7:6  Arise, LORD, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.

and rise to my defense 
Psalm 17:13  Rise up, LORD, confront them, bring them down; with your sword rescue me from the wicked.

Contend for me, my God and Lord 
1 Samuel 24:15  "May the LORD be our judge and decide between us. May he consider my cause and uphold it; may he vindicate me by delivering me from your hand."  (David to King Saul)

do not let them gloat over me 
Psalm 22:17  All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me.

Do not let them think, "Aha! Just what we wanted!" 
Psalm 35:21  They sneer at me and say, "Aha! Aha! With our own eyes we have seen it."

or say, "We have swallowed him up." 
Psalm 124:3  ... they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us; ...
Proverbs 1:12  "... let's swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit; ..."
Lamentations 2:16  All your enemies open their mouths wide against you; they scoff and gnash their teeth and say, "We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for; we have lived to see it."
