Psalm 77:13-14

Your ways, God, are holy. what god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.

what god is as great as our God? 
Exodus 15:11  "Who among the gods is like you, LORD? Who is like you--majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
Psalm 71:19  Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, you who have done great things. Who is like you, God?
Psalm 86:8  Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours.

You are the God who performs miracles 
Exodus 3:20  "So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders that I will perform among them. After that, he will let you go."
Exodus 34:10  Then the LORD said: I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the LORD, will do for you."

Psalm 77:10-12

Then I thought, "To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds." 

the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand 
Exodus 15:6  "Your right hand, LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand, LORD, shattered the enemy."

yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago 
Nehemiah 9:16-19  "But they, our ancestors, became arrogant and stiff-necked, and they did not obey your commands. They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. I will consider all your works

Psalm 77:8-9

Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?

Has his unfailing love vanished forever? 
Psalm 6:4  Turn, LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.
Psalm 13:5  But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. 
Psalm 31:16  Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.
Psalm 85:7  Show us your unfailing love, LORD, and grant us your salvation.
Psalm 90:14  Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
Psalm 119:41  May your unfailing love come to me, LORD, your salvation, according to your promise; ...
Isaiah 54:8  "In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you," says the LORD your Redeemer.
Isaiah 54:10  "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Has his promise failed for all time? 
2 Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Has God forgotten to be merciful? 
Psalm 25:6  Remember, LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.
Psalm 40:11  Do not withhold your mercy from me, LORD; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.
Psalm 51:1  Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

Psalm 77:5-7

I thought about the former days, the years of long ago; I remembered my songs in the night. My heart meditated and my spirit asked: "Will the LORD reject forever? Will he never show his favor again? 

I thought about the former days 
Deuteronomy 32:7  Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you.
Psalm 44:1  We have heard it with our ears, O God; our ancestors have told us what you did in their days, in days long ago.
Psalm 143:5  I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.
Ecclesiastes 7:10  Do not say, "Why were the old days better than these?" For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Will the LORD reject forever? 
1 Chronicles 28:9  "And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever."

Will he never show his favor again? 
Psalm 85:1  You, LORD, showed your favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
Psalm 102:13  You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.
Psalm 106:4-5  Remember me, LORD, when you show compassion to your people, come to my aid when you save them, that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.

Psalm 77:3-4

I remembered you, God, and I groaned; I meditated, and my spirit grew faint. You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak. 

I remembered you, God 
Psalm 78:35  They remembered that God was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer.

and I groaned 
Exodus 2:23  During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God.
Psalm 6:6  I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.

I stretched out untiring hands

Psalm 76:10-12

Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained. Make vows to the LORD your God and fulfill them; let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared. He breaks the spirit of rulers; he is feared by the kings of the earth. 

Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise 
Exodus 9:16  " 'But I (the LORD) have raised you (Pharaoh) up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.' "
Romans 9:17  For Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."

Make vows to the LORD and fulfill them 
Psalm 22:25  From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you I will fulfill my vows.
Psalm 50:14-15  "Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you and you will honor me."
Psalm 116:18-19  I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people, in the courts of the house of the LORD--in your midst, Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.
Ecclesiastes 5:4-5  When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.

let all the neighboring lands bring gifts to the One to be feared 
2 Chronicles 32:23  Many brought offerings to Jerusalem for the LORD and valuable gifts for Hezekiah king of Judah. From then on he was highly regarded by all the nations.

Psalm 75:9-10

As for me, I will declare this forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob, who says, "I will cut off the horns* of all the wicked, but the horns* of the righteous will be lifted up."

Psalm 75:8

In the hand of the LORD is a cup full of foaming wine mixed with spices; he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to its very dregs.

Psalm 75:6-7

No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves. It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.

Psalm 75:4-5

"To the arrogant I say, 'Boast no more,' and to the wicked, 'Do not lift up your horns*. Do not lift up your horns* against heaven; do not speak so defiantly.' "

To the arrogant I say 
Psalm 5:5-6  The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong; you destroy those who tell lies. The bloodthirsty and deceitful you, LORD, detest.

'Boast no more' 
1 Samuel 2:3  "Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the LORD is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed."

'Do not lift up your horns*' 
Zechariah 1:20-21  Then the LORD showed me four craftsmen. I asked, "What are these coming to do?" He answered, "These are the horns* that scattered Judah so that no one could raise their head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns* of the nations who lifted up their horns* against the land of Judah to scatter its people."

'Do not lift up your horns* against heaven, do not speak so defiantly.' 
Job 15:24-26  "Distress and anguish fill him (the ruthless man) with terror; troubles overwhelm him, like a king poised to attack, because he shakes his fist at God and vaunts himself against the Almighty, defiantly charging against him with a thick, strong shield."

Psalm 75:2-3 Part 2 of 2

You say, "I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity. When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm."

When the earth and all its people quake 
Isaiah 24:19  The earth is broken up, the earth is split asunder, the earth is violently shaken.
Psalm 46:2-3  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
Deuteronomy 11:5-7  It was not your children who saw what he did for you in the wilderness until you arrived at this place, and what he did to Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab the Reubenite, when the earth opened its mouth right in the middle of all Israel and swallowed them up with their households, their tents and every living thing that belonged to them. Psalm 75:2-3 Part 1 of 2

You say, "I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity. When the earth and all its people quake, it is I who hold its pillars firm."

You say, "I chose the appointed time" 
Exodus 13:10  "You must keep this ordinance at the appointed time year after year."
Psalm 102:13  You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.
Psalm 119:126  It is time for you to act, LORD; your law is being broken.
Romans 9:9  For this was how the promise was stated: "At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son."

it is I who judge with equity 
Psalm 7:11  God is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath every day.
Genesis 18:25  "Far be it from you to do such a thing--to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"
Psalm 9:8  He rules the earth in righteousness and judges the people with equity.

Psalm 74:21-23

Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy praise your name. Rise up, O God, and defend your cause; remember how fools mock you all day long. Do not ignore the clamor of your adversaries, the uproar of your enemies, which rises continually. 

Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace 
Psalm 9:9  The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
Psalm 10:17-18  You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror.

Psalm 74:18-20

Remember how the enemy has mocked you, LORD, how foolish people have reviled your name. Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of your afflicted people forever. Have regard for our covenant, because haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land.

Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts

Psalm 74:15-17

It was you who opened up springs and streams; you dried up the ever-flowing rivers.The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and the moon. It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.

It was you who opened up springs and streams 
Exodus 17:6  "I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Numbers 20:11  Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.

Psalm 74:13-14

It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters. It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave it as food to the creatures of the desert.

Exodus 14:21-22  Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. We are given no signs from God; no prophets are left, and none of us knows how long this will be. How long will the enemy mock you, God? Will the foe revile your name forever? Why do you hold back your hand, your right hand? Take it from the folds of your garment and destroy them!

How long 
Psalm 6:3  My soul is in deep anguish. How long, LORD, how long?
Psalm 79:5  How long, LORD? Will you be angry forever? How long will your jealousy burn like fire?
Psalm 80:4  How long, LORD God Almighty, will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people?

Your foes roared in the place where you met with us; they set up their standards as signs. They behaved like men wielding axes to cut through a thicket of trees. They smashed all the carved paneling with their axes and hatchets. They burned your sanctuary to the ground; they defiled the dwelling place of your Name. They said in their hearts, "We will crush them completely!" They burned every place where God was worshiped in the land.

2 Kings 25:9  He (Nebuzaradan official of the king of Babylon) set fire to the temple of the LORD, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down.
2 Chronicles 36:19  They (the Babylonians) set fire to God's temple and broke down the wall of Jerusalem; they burned all the palaces and destroyed everything of value there.
Jeremiah 21:10  " 'I have determined to do this city harm and not good, declares the LORD. It will be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he will destroy it with fire.' "
Jeremiah 34:22  "I am going to give the order, declares the LORD, and I will bring them back to this city. They will fight against it, take it and burn it down. And I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."

Lamentations 2:7  The LORD has rejected his altar and abandoned his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hands of the enemy; they have raised a shout in the house of the LORD as on the day of an appointed festival.

Remember the nation you purchased long ago, the people of your inheritance, whom you redeemed--Mount Zion, where you dwelt. Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins, all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.

Mount Zion 
Psalm 2:6  "I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain."

where you dwelt 
Psalm 43:3  Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.
Psalm 68:16  ...why gaze in envy, you rugged mountain (Mount Bashan), at the mountain where God chooses to reign, where the LORD himself will dwell forever?
Isaiah 46:13  "I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel."
Joel 3:21  "Shall I leave their innocent blood unavenged? No, I will not." The LORD dwells in Zion!

Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins

Remember the nation you purchased long ago, the people of your inheritance, whom you redeemed--Mount Zion, where you dwelt. Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins, all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.

Exodus 15:15-16  "The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away; terror and dread will fall on them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone--until your people pass by, LORD, until the people you bought pass by."
1 Corinthians 6:19-20  Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Deuteronomy 32:7  Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you.

the people of your inheritance 
Exodus 34:9  "Lord," he (Moses) said, "if I have found favor in your eyes, then let the Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our wickedness and our sin, and take us as your inheritance."
