GRACE Philippians 4:23

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 16:20  The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
Romans 5:1-2  Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Philippians 4:6-7  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 1:3-5  Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 1:2  Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 14:27  "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

GRACE Philippians 1:7

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you
2 Peter 1:13-15  I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.

since I have you in my heart
2 Corinthians 7:3  I do not say this to condemn you; I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you.

whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel
Philippians 1:13-18  As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear. It is true that some preach Christ our of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
Acts 21:33  The commander came up and arrested him and ordered him to be bound with two chains. Then he asked who he was and what he had done.

Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus

2 Corinthians 1:1-2  Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God in Corinth, together with all his holy people throughout Achaia: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 16:12  From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.

together with the overseers
1 Timothy 3:1  Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task.

and deacons
1 Timothy 3:8-9  In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 1:7  To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

GRACE Ephesians 6:23-24

Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

Peace
Galatians 6:16  Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule--to the Israel of God.
2 Thessalonians 3:16  Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love
John 14:15  "If you love me, keep my commands."
John 14:21  "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them."
John 14:23-24  Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me."
John 21:15-17  When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?"  "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."  Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep." The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

GRACE Ephesians 4:7-8

But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people." (Psalm 68:18)

But to each one of us
1 Corinthians 12:7  Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
1 Corinthians 12:11  All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

grace
Romans 3:24  ... and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

has been given as Christ apportioned it
Romans 12:3  For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

When he ascended on high he took many captives
Colossians 2:15  And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

and gave gifts to his people
Psalm 68:18  When you ascended on high, you took many captives; you received gifts from people, even from the rebellious--that you, Lord God, might dwell there.
Exodus 15:1-2  The LORD said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give."

GRACE Ephesians 3:7-9 Part 2 of 2

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power. Although I am less than the least of all the Lord's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.

Although I am less than the least of all the Lord's people
1 Corinthians 15:9  For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
1 Timothy 1:15  Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.

this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles
Acts 9:15  But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel."

the boundless riches of Christ
Romans 2:4  Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
Romans 11:33  Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things
Romans 16:25-27  Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith--to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! GRACE Ephesians 3:7-9 Part 1 of 2

I became a servant of this gospel
1 Corinthians 3:5-6  What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe--as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.

by the gift of God's grace given me
Romans 12:3  For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

through the working of his power
Ephesians 1:18-21  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Colossians 1:29  To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.

GRACE Ephesians 3:2-3

Surely you have heard about the administration of God's grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

Surely you have heard about the administration of God's grace that was given to me for you
Colossians 1:25-26  I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness--the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord's people.

that is, the mystery
Romans 16:25-27  Now to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith--to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

made known to me by revelation
1 Corinthians 2:9-11  However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" (Isaiah 64:4) --the things God has prepared for those who love him--these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

GRACE Ephesians 2:6-10 Part 6 of 6

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

created in Christ Jesus
Ephesians 4:24  ... and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do
Titus 2:11-14  For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

GRACE Ephesians 2:6-10 Part 5 of 6

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

so that no one can boast
1 Corinthians 1:28-29  God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

For we are God's handiwork
Isaiah 29:23  "When they see among them their children, the work of my hands, they will keep my name holy; they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel."
Isaiah 43:5-7  "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth--everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."

GRACE Ephesians 2:6-10 Part 4 of 6

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works
Deuteronomy 9:5-6  It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the LORD your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Understand, then, that it is not because of your righteousness that the LORD your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people.
Romans 4:2-3  If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about--but not before God. What does Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." (Genesis 15:6)
2 Timothy 1:9-10  He has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
Titus 3:5  ... he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, ...

through faith
Romans 9:30-32  What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.

GRACE Ephesians 1:6-10 Part 3 of 3

... to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment--to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ
Ephesians 1:11  In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, ...

to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment

Galatians 4:4-5  But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.

to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ

Romans 3:24-26  ... and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood--to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

... to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment--to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

to the praise of his glorious grace
Ephesians 1:11-14  In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.

which he has freely given us in the One he loves
Matthew 3:17  And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

GRACE Galatians 5:4-6

You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

You who are trying to be justified by the law
Romans 3:28  For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace
Hebrews 12:15  See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
2 Peter 3:17-18  Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope
Romans 8:22-25  We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value
1 Corinthians 7:19  Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God's commands is what counts.

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love
1 Thessalonians 1:3  We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
James 2:22  You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

GRACE Galatians 3:17-18

What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

The law, introduced 430 years later
Genesis 15:13-14  Then the LORD said to him, "Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there. But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions."
Exodus 12:40-42  Now the length of the time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years. At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the LORD's divisions left Egypt. Because the LORD kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the LORD for the generations to come.
Acts 7:6-7  "God spoke to him in this way: 'For four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated. But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,' God said, 'and afterward they will come out of that country and worship me in this place.' "

For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise
Romans 4:14-16  For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless, because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression. Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

GRACE Galatians 2:19-21 Part 2 of 2

"For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God
Matthew 4:3-4  The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' " (Deuteronomy 8:3)

who loved me
Romans 8:37  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

and gave himself for me
Galatians 1:3-5  Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for all our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
Galatians 3:21  So is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.

GRACE Galatians 2:19-21 Part 1 of 2

"For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

For through the law, I died to the law
Romans 7:4  So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

so that I might live for God
Romans 6:10-11  The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Romans 6:14  For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
2 Corinthians 5:15  And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

I have been crucified with Christ
Romans 6:6-7  For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me
Romans 8:10  But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.
1 Peter 4:2  As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.

GRACE Galatians 2:9

James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.

James
Acts 15:13  When they had finished, James spoke up. "Brothers," he said, "listen to me."

Cephas
Galatians 2:7  On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised.
Galatians 2:11  When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned.
Galatians 2:14  When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?"

those esteemed as pillars
1 Timothy 3:15  If I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
Revelation 3:12  "The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name."

gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship
Galatians 2:1  Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also.
Acts 4:36-37  Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means "son of encouragement"), sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles' feet.

when they recognized the grace given to me
Romans 12:3  For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles
Acts 9:15  But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel."

GRACE Galatians 1:15-17

But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being. I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.

But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb
Isaiah 49:1  Listen to me, you islands; hear this you distant nations: Before I was born the LORD called me; from my mother's womb he has spoken my name.
Jeremiah 1:4-5  The word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

and called me by his grace
Acts 9:15  But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel."
Romans 8:28  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles
Galatians 2:9-10  James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.

my immediate response was not to consult any human being
Matthew 16:17  Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven."

Later I returned to Damascus
Acts 9:1-2  Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.
Acts 9:19-20  Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.

GRACE Galatians 1:6-7

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel--which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ
Galatians 1:15-16  But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
Romans 8:28  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

and are turning to a different gospel--which is really no gospel at all
2 Corinthians 11:3-4  But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion
Acts 15:24  We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said.
Galatians 5:10  I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.

and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ
Jeremiah 23:16  This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD."
Jeremiah 23:36  "But you must not mention 'a message from the LORD' again, because each one's word becomes their own message. So you distort the words of the living God, the LORD Almighty, our God."

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

to rescue us from the present evil age
1 Corinthians 1:20  Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
2 Corinthians 4:4  The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Ephesians 1:1-2  As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
Ephesians 6:12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

according to the will of our God and Father
Philippians 4:20  To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen
Romans 11:36  For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 1:7  To all in Rome who are loved by God and called to be his holy people: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 6:18  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.

who gave himself for our sins
Matthew 20:28  "... just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Romans 4:25  He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
1 Corinthians 15:3-5  For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.
Galatians 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Matthew 1:21  "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
John 1:29  The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
1 Peter 2:24  "He himself bore our sins" (Isaiah 53:4) in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

GRACE 2 Corinthians 13:14

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 16:20  The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
2 Corinthians 8:9  For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

and the love of God
Romans 5:5  And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Jude 20-21  But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Philippians 2:1-2  Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.

GRACE 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

My grace is sufficient for you
Romans 3:24  ... and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

for my power
Philippians 4:13  I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

is made perfect in weakness
1 Corinthians 2:3  I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling.
1 Kings 19:11-12  The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses
Matthew 5:12  "Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

in insults, in hardships
2 Corinthians 6:4  Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; ...

in persecutions
2 Thessalonians 1:4  Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.

For when I am weak, then I am strong
2 Corinthians 13:4  For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him in our dealing with you.
