Psalm 74:2-3 Part 1 of 2

Remember the nation you purchased long ago, the people of your inheritance, whom you redeemed--Mount Zion, where you dwelt. Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins, all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.

Remember the nation you purchased

By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone--until your people pass by, LORD, until the people you bought pass by."
1 Corinthians 6:19-20  Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

long ago
Deuteronomy 32:7  Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you, your elders, and they will explain to you.

the people of your inheritance
Exodus 34:9  "Lord," he (Moses) said, "if I have found favor in your eyes, then let the Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our wickedness and our sin, and take us as your inheritance."
Isaiah 48:20  Leave Babylon, flee from the Babylonians! Announce this with shouts of joy and proclaim it. Send it out to the ends of the earth; say, "The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob."
