2 John 9-11 Part 1 of 3

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

 

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God;

John 8:31-32  To the Jews who had believed in him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (see verses 31-58)

John 15:6-7  "If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." (see verses 1-17)

John 16:1-2  "All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God." (see verses 15:18-16:15)

 

whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 

1 John 2:23  No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. (see verses 18-27)

John 8:19  Then they asked him, "Where is your father?"  "You do not know me or my Father," Jesus replied. "If you knew me, you would know my Father also." (see verses 12-20)

John 14:6-7  Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." (see verses 1-14)

1 John 4:15  If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. (see verses 7-16)

1 John 5:1  Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. (see verses 1-5)
