1 John 5:3-5 Part 1 of 2

In fact, this is love for God: to keep is commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands.
John 14:15  "If you love me, keep my commands." (see verses 15-24)
John 15:10  "If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love." (see verses 9-17)
Psalm 103:17-18  But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
1 John 2:3-5  We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, 'I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them.
1 John 3:24  The one who keeps God's commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. (see vs 19-24)
2 John 6  And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. (see verses 4-6)
Revelation 12:17  Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring--those who keep God's commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.
Revelation 14:12  This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. (see verses 9-13)
