1 John 5:1-2 Part 1 of 2

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

 

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (see verses 14-19)

John 1:12-13  Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. (see verses 1-14)

John 5:24  "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes in him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." (see verses 19-30)

Romans 10:9-10  If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (see verses 1-13)

1 Peter 1:23  For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. (see verses 13-25)

1 John 3:9  No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. (see verses 7-10)

1 John 4:7  Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (see verses 7-12)

1 John 4:15  If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. (see verses 13-18)

1 John 5:5  Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. (see verses 1-5)
