1 John 5:3-5 Part 2 of 2

In fact, this is love for God: to keep is commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

And his commands are not burdensome,
Matthew 11:28-30  "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

for everyone born of God overcomes the world.
John 16:33  "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Romans 8:37-39  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (see verses 31-39)
1 John 4:4  You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (see verses 1-6)
Revelation 19:7  "Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children." (see verses 1-8)

This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
John 14:7  "If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on you do know him and have seen him." (see verses 6-14)
1 John 4:15  If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. (see verses 7-19)
2 John 9  Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. (see verses 7-11)
