1 John 4:7-8 Part 2 of 2

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

 

and knows God.

1 John 2:3-4  We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands, is a liar and the truth is not in him. (see verses 3-11)

Titus 1:15-16  To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (see verses 10-16)

1 John 3:6  No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. (see verses 1-10)

 

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 

1 John 4:16  And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

1 John 4:12-13  No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. (see verses 7-21)

1 John 3:24  The one who keeps God's commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. (see verses 11-24)
