1 John 4:11-12 Part 2 of 2

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

we also ought to love one another.
John 15:12  "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." (see verses 9-17)
John 13:34-35  "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
1 John 3:11  For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. (see verses 11-24)
1 John 4:7  Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (see verses 7-12)
1 John 4:21  And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. (see verses 13-21)
2 John 5  And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. (see all 2 John)

No one has ever seen God;
John 1:18  No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. (see verses 1-18)
John 6:46  "No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father." (see verses 43-47)
Colossians 1:15  The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. (see verses 15-23)
1 Timothy 6:16  ... who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen. (see verses 13-16)

but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
1 John 4:17  This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. (see verses 13-21)
1 John 2:5  But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. (see verses 3-11)
