For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous.
For this is the message you heard from the beginning:
1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. (see verses 5-7)
1 John 2:7 Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard.
1 John 2:24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. (see verses 20-27)
1 John 3:23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. (see verses 16-24)
1 John 4:21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. (see verses 19-21)
2 John 5-6 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command bur one that we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
We should love one another.
John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 15:12 "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." (see verses 9-17)
1 John 4:7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (see verses 7-10)
1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (see verses 11-18)
