1 John 4:7-8 Part 1 of 2

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

 

Dear friends, let us love one another,

1 John 3:11  For this is the message you heard from the beginning: we should love one another.

John 13:34-35  "A new command I give  you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (see verses 31-38)

John 15:12  "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved  you." (see verses 9-17)

1 John 4:11  Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 John 4:21  And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. (see verses 7-21)

2 John 5  And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. (see all 2 John)

for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God 

John 1:13  ... children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or of a husband's will, but born of God. (see verses 9-13)

John 3:6  "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit." (see verses 3-8)

James 1:18  He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. (see verses 2-28)

1 Peter 1:23  For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. (see all chapter 1)

1 John 3:9  No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. (see verses 1-10)

1 John 5:1  Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. (see verses 1-12)
