1 John 4:17-18 Part 2 of 2

This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Matthew 10:15  "Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town." (see all chapter 10)

Matthew 12:36-37  "But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned." (see verses 25-37)

Acts 17:31  "For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead." (see verses 22-33)

2 Peter 2:9  ... if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. (see all chapter 2)

2 Peter 3:7  By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. (see verses 3-15)

Jude 6  And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling--these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. (see all Jude)

Romans 8:15  The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit  you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father".(see verses 9-17)

2 Timothy 1:7  For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. (see verses 3-14)

1 Corinthians 16:10  When Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am. (see verses 10-11)

1 Timothy 4:12  Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. (see verses 6-16)

Hebrews 2:14-15  Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. (see verses 5-18)
