1 John 2:28-29 Part 2 of 2

And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

Matthew 16:27  "For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done." (see verses 24-28)

1 Corinthians 1:7  Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. (see verses 4-9)

1 Corinthians 4:5  Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. (see verses 1-5)

1 Thessalonians 3:13  May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. (see verses 6-13)

1 Peter 1:7  These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith--of greater worth than gold which perishes even though refined by fire--may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (see verses 3-9)

Revelation 1:7  "Look, he is coming with the clouds," (Daniel 7:13) and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him" (John 19:34, 37); and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." (Zechariah 12:10) So shall it be! Amen. (see verses 4-8)

 

If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. 

1 John 3:7  Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. (see verses 4-10)

John 1:13  ... children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. (see verses 12-14)

James 1:16-18  Don't be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

1 John 3:9  No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. (see verses 1-10)
