1 John 2:28-29 Part 1 of 2

And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

Colossians 3:4  When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (see verses 1-4)

1 John 3:2  Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (see verses 1-3)

 

we may be confident 

Ephesians 3:12  In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. (see verses 7-13)

2 Corinthians 3:4  Such confidence we have through Christ before God. (see verses 2:14-3:6)

Hebrews 3:14  We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the end. (see verses 7-19)

Hebrews 4:16  Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (see verses 14-16)

1 John 3:21-22  Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. (see verses 19-24)

1 John 4:17  If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. (see verses 13-21)
