1 John 2:12-14 Part 2 of 3

I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

 

I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning.

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (see verses 1-5)

Isaiah 55:10-11  "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (see all chapter 55)

Revelation 19:13  He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. (see verses 11-16)

 

I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. 

John 16:33  "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (see verses 25-33)

1 John 4:4  You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (see verses 1-6)

1 John 5:3-4  In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith, (see verses 1-12)

Matthew 5:37  "All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." (see verses 33-37)

Matthew 6:13  " 'And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' " (see verses 5-15)

Matthew 13:19  "When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown along the path. " (see verses 3-23, also verses 24-43)

John 17:15  "My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one." (see all chapter 17)
