Mark 12:6-12 Part 3 of 4

    "He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all, saying, 'They will respect my son.'
    "But the tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
    "What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others. Haven't you read this passage of Scripture:
    " 'The stone the builders rejected
        has become the cornerstone;
    the Lord has done this,
        and it is marvelous in our eyes.'?"
    Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd; so they left him and went away.

"Haven't you read this passage of Scripture: 'The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?"
Matthew 21:42-44
    Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures:
    'The stone the builders rejected
        has become the cornerstone;
    the Lord has done this,
        and it is marvelous in our eyes'?"  (see  Psalm 118:22-23)
    "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed."
Luke 20:17-18
    Jesus looked directly at them and asked, "Then what is the meaning of that which is written?
    'The stone the builders rejected
        has become the cornerstone.' "
Isaiah 8:14-15
"He will be a holy place;
    for both Israel and Judah he will be
a stone that causes people to stumble
    and a rock that makes them fall.
And for the people of Jerusalem he will be
    a trap and a snare."  (see Isaiah 8:11-18)
Acts 4:11
Jesus is
    " 'the stone you builders rejected,
        which has become the cornerstone.' "
