1 Timothy 5:5-6

The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.

The widow who is really in need 
1 Timothy 5:3  Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.

1 Timothy 5:16  If any woman who is a believer has widows in her care, she should continue to help them and not let the church be burdened with them, so that the church can help those widows who are really in need.

and left all alone puts her hope in God 
1 Corinthians 7:34  An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world--how she can please her husband.
1 Peter 3:5-6  For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. 

and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help 
Luke 2:36-37  There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.
Romans 1:9-10  God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you.

But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives 
Proverbs 21:17  Whoever loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.
Luke 8:14  "The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature."
2 Timothy 3:4  ... treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God--...
James 4:3  When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
