1 Timothy 4:8-10 Part 2 of 2

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.  

This is a trustworthy saying 
1 Timothy 1:15  Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.

because we have put our hope in the living God 
Matthew 16:16  Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
Psalm 42:2  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
Jeremiah 10:10  But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. When he is angry the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath. 
Acts 14:15  "Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them."
Hebrews 10:31  It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

who is the Savior of all people 
Matthew 1:21  "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
Luke 2:11  "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."
John 3:17  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 4:42  They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world." 
Acts 13:23  "From this man's (David's) descendants God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as he promised."
1 John 4:14  And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
