1 Timothy 4:15-16 Part 1 of 2

Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Be diligent in these matters
Proverbs 10:4  Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.
Proverbs 12:24  Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.
Proverbs 12:27  The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.
Proverbs 13:4  A sluggard's appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
Proverbs 21:5  The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
Hebrews 6:10-11  God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.

so that everyone may see your progress
Philippians 1:25-26  Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith. So that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.
