1 Timothy 3:11-13

In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything. 
A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well. Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 11:13  A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret. 
Proverbs 16:28  A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.
Proverbs 18:8  The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to the inmost parts.
Proverbs 20:19  A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much.
Proverbs 26:20  Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down.

Titus 2:3  Likewise teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.

1 Timothy 3:2-4  Now an overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect.

Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus
