Psalm 78:9-11 Part 2 of 2

The men of Ephraim, though armed with bows, turned back on the day of battle; they did not keep God's covenant and refused to live by his law. They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them.

they did not keep God's covenant
Joshua 7:11-12  "Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions. That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction."
2 Kings 17:15  They rejected his decrees and the covenant he had made with their ancestors and the statutes he had warned them to keep. They followed worthless idols and themselves became worthless. They imitated the nations around them although the LORD had ordered them, "Do not do as they do."

and refused to live by his law
Exodus 16:28  Then the LORD said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?"
Jeremiah 11:8  "But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubbornness of their evil hearts. So I brought on them all the curses of the covenant I had commanded them to follow but that they did not keep."

They forgot what he had done
Psalm 106:13  But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold.
