Psalm 78:65-68

Then the LORD awoke as from sleep, as a warrior wakes from the stupor of wine. He beat back his enemies; he put them to everlasting shame. Then he rejected the tents of Joseph, he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim; but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved. 

Then the LORD awoke as from sleep 
Psalm 44:23  Awake, Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever.

He beat back his enemies; he put them to everlasting shame 
1 Samuel 5:6  The LORD's hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation on them and afflicted them with tumors.

he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim 
Jeremiah 7:15  " 'I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.' "
Hosea 9:13  "I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place. But Ephraim will bring out their children to the slayer."
Hosea 12:1  Ephraim feeds on the wind; he pursues the east wind all day and multiplies lies and violence. He makes a treaty with Assyria and sends olive oil to Egypt.

but he chose the tribe of Judah 
Psalm 108:8  "Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter."

Mount Zion, which he loved 
Exodus 15:17  "You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance--the place, LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established."
Psalm 68:15-16  Mount Bashan, majestic mountain, Mount Bashan, rugged mountain, why gaze in envy, you rugged mountain at the mountain where God chooses to reign, where the LORD himself will dwell forever?
