Jude 3-4 Part 1 of 2

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's holy people. For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. 

Dear friends 
1 Corinthians 10:14  Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry.

although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share 
Titus 1:4  To Titus, my true son in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend 
1 Timothy 6:11-12  But you, man of God, flee from all this and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

for the faith 
Jude 20-21  But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Acts 6:7  So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
