In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD. In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by him; he sneers at all his enemies. He says to himself, "Nothing will ever shake me." He swears, "No one will ever do me harm."
In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak
Psalm 10:9 ... like a lion in cover he lies in wait. He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.
Job 20:19 "For he has oppressed the poor and left them destitute; he has seized houses he did not build."
He boasts about the cravings of his heart
Psalm 49:5-6 Why should I fear when evil days come, when wicked deceivers surround me--those who trust in their wealth and boast of their great riches?
Psalm 94:4 They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting.
Jeremiah 48:30 "I know her (Moab's) insolence but it is futile," declares the LORD, "and her boasts accomplish nothing."

Psalm 36:1-2 I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.
He swears, "No one will ever do me harm."
Revelation 18:7 "Give her (Babylon) as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts, 'I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn.' "
