His (the wicked man's) victims are crushed, they collapse, they fall under his strength. He says to himself, "God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees."
His victims are crushed
Job 9:17 "He would crush me with a storm and multiply my wounds for no reason."
Job 16:12 "All was well with me, but he shattered me; he seized me by the neck and crushed me."
"God will never notice, he covers his face and never sees."
Job 22:13-14 "Yet you say, 'What does God know? Does he judge through such darkness? Thick clouds veil him, so he does not see us as he goes about in the vaulted heavens.' "
Psalm 42:9 I say to God my Rock, "Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?"
Psalm 77:9 "Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?"
