John 6:58-60

"This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever." He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. On hearing it, many of his disciples said, "This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?"

John 6:49-51  "Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
John 3:36  Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them.
John 5:24  "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."

On hearing it, many of his disciples 
John 6:66  From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it? 
John 6:52  Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
