No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
No one has ever seen God
Exodus 33:20 "But," he (the LORD) said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."
John 6:46 "No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father."
Colossians 1:15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
1 Timothy 6:13-16 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot of blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time--God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
1 John 4:9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
