John 1:11-13 Part 2 of 4

He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

in his name
1 John 3:23  And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
Luke 24:46-47  He told them, "This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
John 3:18  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
John 20:30-31  Jesus preformed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
Romans 10:13  ... for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21)
Acts 4:12  "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."
1 Corinthians 6:11  And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 John 5:13  I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
