Psalm 77:17-18 Part 2 of 2

The clouds poured down water, the heavens resounded with thunder; your arrows flashed back and forth. Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind, your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked.

Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind 
Psalm 55:8  "I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and the storm." 
Isaiah 28:2  See, the Lord has one who is powerful and strong. Like a hailstorm and a destructive wind, like a driving rain and a flooding downpour, he will throw it forcefully to the ground. (Samaria, capital of the Northern Kingdom)
Isaiah 29:5-6  But your many enemies will become like fine dust, the ruthless hordes like blown chaff. Suddenly, in an instant, the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire. 

your lightning lit up the world 
2 Samuel 22:13  Out of the brightness of his presence bolts of lightning blazed forth.
Job 37:3  "He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth."

the earth trembled and quaked 
Joel 3:16  The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. but the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.
Nahum 1:5  The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it.
