JOY Hebrews 13:17
Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

JOY Hebrews 12:1-3 Part 2 of 2
Therefore,
since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw
off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And
let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes
on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before
him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right
hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from
sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

the barren heights, the weeping and pleading of the people of Israel,
because they have perverted their ways and have forgotten the LORD their
God. "Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding." "Yes,
we will come to you, for you are the LORD our God. Surely the
idolatrous commotion on the hills and mountains is a deception; surely
in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel."
I will cure you
Isaiah 30:26 The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted.
Isaiah 57:18 "I have seen their ways, but I will heal them; I will guide them and restore comfort to Israel's mourners, ..."
Jeremiah 33:6 " 'Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.' "

SALVATION Isaiah 63:4-6
"It was for me the day of vengeance; the year for me to redeem had come. I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm achieved salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me. I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground."

"No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise."

JOY 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 Part 2 of 2
For what is our
hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of
our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory
and joy.

Matthew 16:27 "For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done."
Luke 17:30 "It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed."
1 Corinthians 1:7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus to be revealed.
1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

SALVATION Isaiah 59:16-17 Part 2 of 2
He saw that there
was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his
own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained
him. He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and the helmet of
salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped
himself in zeal as in a cloak.

JOY 1 Thessalonians 1:6
You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 4:14-16 I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children. Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. Therefore I urge you to imitate me.

Acts 17:5-10 But the other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in the city. They rushed to Jason's house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd. But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some other believers before the city officials, shouting: "These men who have caused trouble all over the world have now come here, and Jason has welcomed them into his house. They are all defying Caesar's decrees, saying that there is another king, one called Jesus." When they heard this, the crowd and the city officials were thrown into turmoil. Then they made Jason and the others post bond and let them go. As soon as it was night, the believers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.
