FEAR Proverbs 9:10-12 Part 1 of 2

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom

Proverbs 1:7  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Psalm 22:3  Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises.

Proverbs 30:3  "I have not learned wisdom, nor have I attained to the knowledge of the Holy One."

Deuteronomy 4:6  Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people."

Genesis 15:15  "You, however, will go to your ancestors in peace and be buried at a good old age."

Deuteronomy 11:20-21  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.

Proverbs 3:1-2  My son, do not forget my teachings, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

Proverbs 10:27 The fear of the LORD adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.
