FEAR Proverbs 1:7 Part 2 of 2

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

but fools despise wisdom
Deuteronomy 4:6  Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people."
Jeremiah 8:8-9  " 'How can you say, "We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely? The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what kind of wisdom do they have?' "

and instruction
Proverbs 8:33-36  (Wisdom speaking) "Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the LORD. But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death."
Proverbs 9:7-9  Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults; whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse. Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.
Proverbs 12:1  Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.
Proverbs 13:18  Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.
Proverbs 15:32-33 Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding. Wisdom's instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor.
