Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
Fear God
Exodus 20:20 Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."
1 Samuel 12:24 "But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you."
Job 23:15 "That is why I am terrified before him; when I think of all this, I fear him."
Psalm 19:9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.
Psalm 111:10 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Job 28:25 And he (God) said to the human race, "The fear of the Lord--that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding."
and keep his commandments
Deuteronomy 4:2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.
for this is the duty of all mankind
Deuteronomy 4:6 Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people."
Job 37:24 "Therefore, people revere him, for does he not have regard for all the wise in heart?"
