FEAR Proverbs 14:16 Part 1 of 2

The wise fear the LORD and shun evil, but a fool is hotheaded and yet feels secure.

The wise fear the LORD and shun evil
Exodus 20:20 Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."
Proverbs 22:3 The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the LORD and shun evil.

but a fool is hotheaded and yet feels secure
1 Samuel 25:25 "Please pay no attention, my lord, to that wicked man Nabal. He is just like his name--his name means Fool, and folly goes with him. And as for me, your servant, I did not see the men my lord sent."
Proverbs 21:24 The proud and arrogant person--"Mocker" is his name--behaves with insolent fury.
Proverbs 27:23-24 Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.
Judges 18:7 So the five men (from the Danites) left and came to Laish, where they saw that the people were living in safety, like the Sidonians, at peace and secure. And since their land lacked nothing, they were prosperous. Also, they lived a long way from the Sidonians and had no relationship with anyone else.
Isaiah 32:9-10 You women who are so complacent, rise up and listen to me; you daughters who feel secure, hear what I have to say! In little more than a year you who feel secure will tremble; the grape harvest will fail, and the harvest of fruit will not come. Tremble, you complacent women; shudder, you daughters who feel secure! Strip off your fine clothes and wrap yourselves in rags. Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vines and for the land of my people, a land overgrown with thorns and briers--yes, mourn for all houses of merriment and for this city of revelry.
