John 12:7-11

"Leave her alone," Jesus replied. "It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me." Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him. 

It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial 
John 19:40  Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen.

You will always have the poor among you 
Deuteronomy 15:11  There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead 
John 11:43-44  When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."

So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him 
John 12:17-18  Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him.
John 11:45  Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him.

many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him 
John 7:31  Still many in the crowd believed in him. They said, "When the Messiah comes, will he perform more signs than this man?"
John 12:42-43  Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God.
