John 11:4-7

When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it." Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days, and then he said to his disciples, "Let us go back to Judea."

it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it
John 11:40  Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"
John 7:38-39  "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
John 12:41  Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about him. (Isaiah 53:1; 6:10)
John 13:31-32  When he (Judas Iscariot) was gone, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man is glorified and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once."
John 5:21  "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it."

Let us go back to Judea
John 10:40-41  Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. There he stayed, and many people came to him. They said, "Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true." And in that place many believed in Jesus.
