John 11:49-53 Part 1 of 2

Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, "You know nothing at all! You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish." He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one. So from that day on they plotted to take his life. 

Then one of them, named Caiaphas 
Matthew 26:3-4  Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him. 
Matthew 26:57  Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled.
Luke 3:2  ... during the high-priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness.
John 18:13-14  ... and brought him first to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that year. Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jewish leaders that it would be good if one man died for the people.
John 18:24  Then Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas the high priest.
John 18:28  Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover.

and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one 
Isaiah 49:6  ... he says, "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth."
John 10:16  "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd."
