John 10:37-39

"Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father." Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. 

Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father 
John 10:25-26  Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father's name testify about me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep."

believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father 
John 14:10-11  "Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves."
John 14:20  "On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you."
John 17:20-21  "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."

Again they tried to seize him 
John 7:30  At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

but he escaped their grasp 
Luke 4:29-30  They got up, drove him out of town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.
John 8:59  At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.
