All day long they twist my words; all their schemes are for my ruin. They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, hoping to take my life.
All day long they twist my words
Psalm 41:7-8 All my enemies whisper together against me; they imagine the worst for me, saying, "A vile disease has afflicted him; he will never get up from the place where he lies."
2 Peter 3:16 He (Paul) writes in the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
They conspire
Psalm 59:3 See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, LORD.
Psalm 94:21 The wicked band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
Mark 3:6 Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
they lurk, they watch my steps
Psalm 17:11 They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert to throw me to the ground.
hoping to take my life
Psalm 71:10 For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together.
