Woe to those who
go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the
multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD.

Isaiah 30:16 "You said, 'No, we will flee on horses.' Therefore you will flee! You said, 'We will ride on swift horses.' Therefore your pursuers will be swift!"
who trust in the multitude of their chariots
Isaiah 2:7 Their land is full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots.
but do not look to the Holy One of Israel
Job 6:10 "Then I would still have this consolation--my joy in unrelenting pain--that I had not denied the words of the Holy One."
Isaiah 1:4 Woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.
Isaiah 30:12-13 Therefore this is what the Holy One of Israel says: "Because you have rejected this message, relied on oppression and depended on deceit, this sin will become for you like a high wall, cracked and bulging, that collapses suddenly in an instant."

Deuteronomy 20:1 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.
Proverbs 21:31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.
Isaiah 9:13 But the people have not returned to him who struck them, nor have they sought the LORD Almighty.
Ezekiel 29:16 " 'Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin in turning to her for help. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.' "
