Mark 1:19-20

When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

 

Matthew 17:1  After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.  [see verses 1-13]

Matthew 20:20  Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.  [see verses 20-28]

Matthew 26:37-38  He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."  [see verses 36-46]

Mark 3:16-19  These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter), James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means "sons of thunder"), Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot and Judas, who betrayed him.

Luke 8:51  When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child's father and mother.  [see verses 40-56]

John 21:1-3  Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. It happened this way: Simon Peter, Thomas (also known as Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. "I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
