2 Thessalonians 3:3-5 Part 1 of 2

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

But the Lord is faithful

1 Corinthians 1:9  God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Deuteronomy 7:9  Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Isaiah 49:7  This is what the LORD says--the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel--to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers: "Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you."

1 Corinthians 10:13  No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

1 Thessalonians 5:24  The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

Hebrews 10:23  Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one 

Matthew 6:13  "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

Matthew 13:19  "When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path." (Matthew 13:3-23)

Matthew 13:37-39  He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels." (Matthew 13:24-43)
