2 Thessalonians 1:8-10 Part 3 of 4

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.
 
and shut out from the presence of the Lord
2 Kings 17:18a  So the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them from his presence.  
Genesis 4:13-14  Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."
Psalm 51:11  Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Psalm 139:7  Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
Jeremiah 7:15  " 'I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.' "
Jeremiah 52:3  It was because of the LORD's anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence.

and from the glory of his might 
Isaiah 2:10  Go into the rocks, hide in the ground from the fearful presence of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty!
Isaiah 2:19  People will flee to caves in the rocks and to holes in the ground from the fearful presence of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.
2 Thessalonians 2:8  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
