1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 Part 2 of 3

Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

Luke 12:39-40  "But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

Matthew 24:42  "Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."

Matthew 25:13  "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour."

While people are saying, "Peace and safety," 

Jeremiah 4:10  Then I said, "Alas, Sovereign LORD! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying, 'You will have peace,' when the sword is at our throats!"

Jeremiah 6:14  "They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace."

Ezekiel 13:10-11  " 'Because they lead my people astray, saying, "Peace," when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash, therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth.' "
