1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 Part 1 of 2

For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed you are our glory and joy.

For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown
Isaiah 62:3  You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
Philippians 4:1  Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends.

in which we will glory
2 Corinthians 1:13-14  For we do not write to you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.

in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes
Matthew 16:27  "For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done."
Luke 17:30  "It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed." (see verses 22-29)
1 Corinthians 1:7  Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
1 Thessalonians 3:13  May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus Christ comes with all his holy ones.
