PEACE Luke 1:76-79 Part 1 of 2

"And you, my child, (John the Baptist) will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace." 

And you, my child, will be called a prophet 
Matthew 11:9  "Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet."

of the Most High 
Luke 1:32-33  "He (Jesus) will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob's descendants forever; his kingdom will never end."
Luke 1:35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."
Mark 5:7  He shouted at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God's name don't torture me!"

for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him 
Luke 1:17  "And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous--to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
Matthew 3:3  This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.' " (Isaiah 40:3)

Jeremiah 31:34  "No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
Matthew 1:21  "She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
Mark 1:4  And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
